GF Management Promotes Ashleigh Mason to Vice President of Development Strategies

GF Management, a leading hotel ownership and management company with more than 85 upscale and midscale U.S. hotels and resorts in its portfolio, today announced the promotion of Ashleigh Mason to Vice President of Development Strategies.  In this role, Ashleigh will direct the business development division of the Company and will lead the implementation of company-wide initiatives to drive continued innovation for the Company.  She will report directly to Joe Del Guidice, President of GF Management and will join the senior management team as new leadership talent.

Ashleigh joined GF Management in 2009 and since then has had ongoing contributions to the direction of the Company. Her knowledge of the industry, responsiveness and personal approach to relationships has proved invaluable to fellow colleagues, owners and partners. In addition to business development, Ashleigh will continue to oversee GF’s overall brand strategy through its media and public relations efforts, along with industry and associate engagement platforms.

Ashleigh graduated with honors from the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University where she studied business administration and marketing. Spending the early part of her career in hotel operations, she brings a full complement of industry experience. “GF is so fortunate to have this level of talent to promote from within,” Del Guidice continues. “We are continually identifying emerging leaders in the hospitality industry and we are thrilled to support the internal development of one of our stars.”

GF Management Names Joseph D Del Guidice as President

GF Management, a leading hotel ownership and management company with more than 85 upscale and midscale U.S. hotels and resorts in its portfolio, today announced that Joseph D Del Guidice has been named as the company’s President. Joseph joined GF Management 16 months ago as the Senior Vice President of Operations and has worked closely with its CEO Ken Kochenour.

Del Guidice, a 22-year hospitality veteran, has in-depth hotel operations expertise. “Joe further strengthens our operational capabilities, especially in the full-service arena” said Ken Kochenour, CEO of GF Management. “Joe brings with him a management style that would be defined as true hospitality, he does this by creating a culture of engagement with our associates” Kochenour added. “His experience includes hotels in all market tiers, from luxury to upscale select-service, with leading brands in the Marriott, Hilton, InterContinental, Carlson and Starwood families.

Previously, Del Guidice was a Vice President of Operations at HHM/Hersha Hospitality with responsibility for 34 hotels, and $250 million in annual revenue. He played an integral role in the company’s expansion into the New York City and Texas markets. During this growth period, he was instrumental in transitioning new assets to the company, including the world famous Rittenhouse hotel. Del Guidice also created the first hotel company partnership with Autism Speaks, creating awareness by lighting up all hotels blue and raising over $100,000 for families on the spectrum.

Del Guidice currently serves on the advisory board for Radisson hotels and sits on the York College Hospitality advisory board. Joe is a family man who has two daughters, Kristin and Melissa and has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Noelle, for 27 years. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family during his down time.

GF Management Promotes Deborah E. Smith to Regional Director of Sales

Deborah E. SmithWith over twenty-eight years in hospitality sales, Deborah E. Smith exhibits an unbridled passion for strengthening the overall success of her sales offices within the ever changing industry. Deborah has been with GF Management for a total of 11 years in the capacity of the Director of Sales and Marketing. From Deborah’s outstanding track record with GF Management, she has been promoted to Regional Director of Sales in the northeast region.

“Deborah Smith is a passionate sales leader who has consistently delivered positive, top line results in each of her Director of Sales assignments with GF Management” states Paul Williamson, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GF Management.  “Deborah understands the critical importance of a customer centric culture while at the same time ensuring her sales team members have the tools, resources and training to be successful. I am very proud of Deborah and thrilled to have her join our GF Regional Sales Team.”

Deborah began her career with GF Management in 1999 at a Four Points by Sheraton in Cleveland.   GF later elected to leave the Cleveland market and it was Deborah and her husband Eddie’s decision to stay with the property in Ohio and remain focused on raising their two daughters. After leaving the Four Points, Deborah worked with a variety of brands in the Cleveland market including, Hilton, Radisson, Choice Hotels and Hyatt. As a proven sales leader Deborah’s strong knowledge of sales and marketing processes did not go unnoticed. Upon GF’s return to the Cleveland market in 2007, Deborah was happily accepted back into the family as Director of Sales of the Sheraton Suites Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Deborah’s greatest strengths; drive, sound astute leadership, innate talent for developing strong sales managers, defining GF sales processes, enhancing sales performance, and her tenacity for consistently delivering top and bottom line results were the driving force for GF Management to continue its investment in Deborah as a leader within this company. Deborah then decided to join GF Management in Philadelphia, PA where she was hired as the Director of Sales for the Hilton Garden Inn Center City in 2012.  It was not long after that Deborah was asked to go to Baltimore, MD as the Director of Sales for the Sheraton Baltimore in 2014.  In her position, Deborah oversaw the multifaceted Sales Department, implemented procedures to effectively lead the Sales team and developed client relationships.

Now as Regional Director of Sales, Deborah will oversee the sales performance of a portfolio of full-service hotels and catering facilities, focused primarily in the Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Jersey and Delaware areas. GF Management is proud of Deborah’s accomplishments and delighted to see her flourish within the company.
